Educationists and student organisations have welcomed the State government’s decision on extension of free bus pass scheme for all students of schools and colleges.

Niranjanaradhya V.P., Developmental Educationist, said, “We welcome the government’s decision to extend the free bus pass facility that was already available to all female students in Karnataka. This has been a long-standing demand that has been fulfilled now. This will be of great help to students, especially from poor and underprivileged communities in completing their education.”

The students organisations such as All India Democratic Student’s Organization (AIDSO) and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) have also welcomed the government’s decision. While welcoming the move, the AIDSO Karnatka State Committee urged the government to implement the scheme right from the beginning of the academic year without any technical glitches.
