A delegation of 33 students from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh has arrived at the Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode (IIM-K) as part of the exchange leg of the Union government’s ‘Yuva Sangam’ initiative.

The premier B-school in Kerala has partnered with Indian Institute of Management-Jammu for the student exchange programme under Phase VI of Yuva Sangam, which is being organised as part of the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ campaign of the Ministry of Education.

Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar will address the Yuva Sangam delegation at IIM-K on Monday (June 1, 2026).

Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIM-K, said that the programme offered an opportunity for the “young ambassadors from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh to explore the cultural and social richness of Kerala over the next few days.”

“This exchange programme will encourage young minds to share enlightening aspects of their home State with us and strengthen ties across regions, while also bringing the nation together through this cultural immersion,” he added.

The visiting delegation comprises 18 female and 15 male participants, including undergraduates, graduates, postgraduates, and off-campus youth. The delegation is accompanied by three faculty and staff members from IIM-Jammu.

The host institute, IIM-K, has drawn up an intensive seven-day itinerary for the visiting delegates covering all five Ps, Paryatan (tourism), Parampara (traditions), Pragati (development), Paraspar Sampark (people-to-people connect), and Prodyogiki (technology), identified under the Yuva Sangam programme. The places scheduled for visits include the Tali Mahashiva Temple, ICAR-Indian Institute of Spices Research, the Mavoor Backwaters, the Regional Science Centre and Planetarium, the Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary, Sargaalaya Kerala Arts and Crafts Village, and National Institute of Technology-Calicut.

Earlier, a 39-member delegation from Kerala and Lakshadweep, led by faculty and staff members of IIM-K, visited Jammu as part of the programme.
