Youth in the Kalyana Karnataka region must shed the notion that they are backward and disadvantaged and instead cultivate self-confidence and determination to succeed, said Sharanbasappa Pappa, president of the Kalyana Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KKCCI).

He was addressing the gathering after inaugurating Rise Kalyana Karnataka- an Educational Youth Summit 2026, a two-day programme organised by the Rotary Club Bidar Silverstar in Bidar on Saturday.

Mr. Pappa said youngsters in the region have immense potential and can achieve their goals if they overcome inferior feelings and work with confidence and commitment. He lauded the initiative of Adhish Wali, president of the club, in organising the summit and creating a platform to connect unemployed youth with employment opportunities.

A major attraction of the event was the Mega Job Fair, which brought together more than 50 companies from various sectors. Over 1,500 students and job aspirants participated in the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Wali outlined the vision behind organising the summit, which is being held for the first time in the Bidar district. Kiran Samuel, secretary of the club, appreciated the contribution of the speakers and participating companies in motivating youth and facilitating employment opportunities.

The summit featured a virtual address by MP for Bengaluru South Tejasvi Surya. Sessions were also conducted by entrepreneur Karan Javali, founder of Motocross India and a participant on Shark Tank India; entrepreneur and content creator Swathi Kulkarni, and Anilkumar Bidve, Vice-Chancellor of Sharnbasva University.
