The Karnataka government has transferred all arterial, sub-arterial and major road infrastructure projects under the jurisdiction of the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) to Bangalore Smart Infrastructure Limited (B-SMILE) for execution and monitoring.

Five major projects worth over ₹2,600 crores have been already transferred to BSMILE. These include the white topping action plan (₹800 crores), Ejipura Flyover (₹307 crores) elevated rotary flyover at IOC Junction and Rail-over-Bridge (ROB) at Byppanahalli (₹380 crores), high density corridor action plan (₹273 crores), and white topping work action plan (₹900 crores).

Raghavendra Prasad B.G., an officer from the GBA, has been given additional charge of the Chief Engineer post for the Road Infrastructure Division at BSMILE until further orders. As per the government order, this reallocation aims to accelerate project completion, improve oversight, and improve execution of key corridors.
