A hospital in Hyderabad on Saturday, May 23, launched an advanced ‘Central Ambulance Command Center’ and ‘Special Connected Ambulance Services’, aiming to strengthen Golden Hour emergency and trauma care services across Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road (ORR) trauma corridors.

The emergency response ecosystem integrates connected ambulance technology, a centralised command centre, real-time tele-monitoring, specialist-guided interventions and coordinated trauma response systems on a single platform to provide faster medical assistance during emergencies.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh, who inaugurated the centre at Yashoda Hospitals’ Hitech City unit, said it would help improve emergency response during road accidents and other medical emergencies by enabling rapid coordination and real-time monitoring through connected ambulance systems.

Director of Medical Services, Dr. A. Lingaiah, said every second is crucial during emergencies and that the primary objective of the centre was to ensure rapid and accurate medical intervention during the critical Golden Hour period.

“The system, integrated with the 24/7 emergency helpline 105910, had been designed as a rapid-response mechanism capable of responding within seconds during emergencies. The connected ambulances are equipped with advanced tele-monitoring facilities that allow specialists to remotely monitor patients and guide paramedical teams while patients are being transported,” he added.
