HYDERABAD

Kumram Bheem Asifabad district will host the second phase of the ‘Indiramma houses inauguration’ programme on June 2, coinciding with Telangana Formation Day. The initiative aims to provide housing for the poor and enable them to own homes.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will participate in the programme and inaugurate the houses. In view of this, Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy with Excise, Culture and Archaeology Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, and MLC Dande Vittal, inspected the arrangements and reviewed works related to the houses to be inaugurated.

Mr. Reddy said that the government’s primary objective was to ensure welfare of the people and development of the State. He said the Indiramma Indlu scheme, launched to provide dignified housing for the poor, was receiving a strong response across Telangana.

He noted that the scheme was helping address long-standing difficulties faced by tribal families in securing housing, particularly in areas such as Kothari village in the district.

The Minister added that the government was prioritising women through several schemes.

He said the government would ensure that every eligible poor family is provided a house under the second phase of the Indiramma Indlu scheme.
