The Avalahalli police on Sunday arrested a 44-year-old Head Constable and his friend, an autorickshaw driver on the charges of robbing a woman .
The accused Jagadisha an autorickshaw driver had allegedly assaulted his female friend and robbed her gold chain over a financial row.
He gave the chain to Satyan, Head Constable with D.J. Halli police station limits. Satyan allegedly pawned the gold chain and shared the money with Jagadisha.
Meanwhile the victim approached the police and filed a complaint.
Based on the complaint, the police arrested Jagadisha and later Satyan and recovered the pawned gold chain.
The duo has been remanded to judicial custody and a report has been sent to DCP East Division for further action .
