T.N. Governor cuts security convoy size after PM Modi’s austerity appeal

The number of security vehicles accompanying Tamil Nadu Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has been reduced following his advice. This follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to the public to reduce the consumption of petrol and diesel and minimise the use of transport vehicles.

According to a Lok Bhavan press release, until now, 10 security vehicles accompanied the Governor when he participated in government and private functions. The number has now been reduced to four.
