The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Limited (KITSFRA) for the complete digitisation of temples and offices functioning under the board.

The agreement was signed at the Travancore Devaswom Board headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram by Devaswom Commissioner B. Sunilkumar and KITSFRA Director Rahul K. Raj.

As part of the project, temple administration, file movement in offices, financial transactions in temples and offices, services for devotees and various online facilities connected to the Sabarimala temple would be brought under a digital platform, according to an official statement.

Officials said the first module, covering online services related to Sabarimala, is expected to be implemented before the next Mandala-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season.

The digitisation initiative is aimed at ensuring faster, more efficient and transparent services for devotees, the board said.

TDB president K. Jayakumar, board members K. Raju and P.D. Santhosh Kumar, and secretary P.N. Ganeswaran Potty, among others, attended the function, the TDB statement added.
