Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said the Congress will probe the reduction in votes in Davangere South Assembly Constituency and take action. According to him, Muslims had voted for Independents and this time had voted for SDPI. On the bypoll results, he said, “We won three constituencies in bypolls earlier and two now. This means voters have appreciated our programmes and have faith in us. It also means that our programmes have reached people.”
