NATHEALTH – Healthcare Federation of India has welcomed the notification of the National Building Construction Standards (NBCS) 2026, which has eased long-standing height restrictions for hospitals.
It would permit the establishment of intensive care units beyond 45 metres in height, subject to enhanced fire safety provisions.
