Meeting reviews monsoon preparedness in Kozhikode

A meeting of various departments, chaired by District Collector Snehil Kumar Singh, recently discussed monsoon preparedness in the district.

The Collector directed officials to identify areas prone to waterlogging and take necessary measures to prevent it. The meeting also reviewed the preparedness measures undertaken by various departments.

Measures will be taken to ensure water sanitation, the safety of school buildings and the cleanliness of wells and drinking water tanks in schools. Steps will also include the cleaning of rivers and canals, removal of hazardous trees, maintenance of drainage systems, ensuring road safety, construction of seawalls and adoption of preventive measures against monsoon-related diseases.
