The police seized high-intensity explosive materials, including crude bombs and gunpowder, during a raid at Thanada, near Chakkarakkal, in Kannur district of Kerala on Sunday (May 3) following a special branch alert about illegal firecracker manufacturing.
Acting on the report, the police team from Edakkad conducted a search at a house in Meppoyi in Kannur, where they recovered five crude bombs and over three kilograms of explosive substances. A case has been registered against local resident Nanu in connection with the seizure.
