Enumerators begin housing census in Andhra Pradesh

While self-enumeration ended, the household listing has begun across Andhra Pradesh from May 1, with enumerators launching a month-long exercise as part of the Census 2027 preparatory phase.

The census is being conducted in two stages, beginning with the ongoing house listing and housing census, followed by population enumeration later. The current phase aims to map households, infrastructure, and living conditions to support accurate population counting in the next stage.
