Nilgiris forest fire totally contained: TN government

The forest fire reported in the Nilgiris district was “totally contained” and the field teams were constantly patrolling the area to prevent any spread of the fire, said an official release.

Chief Secretary M. Sai Kumar, officials of the Forest Department and State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) were closely monitoring the forest fires in the Nilgiris district.
