Seeking solutions to the problems faced by tobacco growers, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, Mysuru MP, has urged the Centre to take all necessary steps to reform the tobacco auction system.

In a press statement issued after meeting Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal in New Delhi and submitting a memorandum on Wednesday (April 29), the MP said several key issues were discussed, including a comprehensive review of the current season, the need for urgent measures to provide long-term structural solutions to farmers’ challenges, and the importance of preventing monopolistic control.
