Activists of the Shivamogga district unit of the National Students Union of India (NSUI) ransacked the office of Kuvempu University Vice-Chancellor’s secretariat during a protest in the campus at Shankaraghatta on April 29.

Led by Vijay S.N., district president of NSUI, the protesters alleged that the university had failed to declare results of previous semesters as per schedule, and had hiked examination fees exorbitantly. They also alleged that the university had not rectified discrepancies in the results despite repeated appeals.
