More than 5,000 police personnel with two DIGs and 10 SPs will be part of security arrangements in Tiruvannamalai town for Chitra Pournami festival, which will be held on April 30 and May 1.

Accompanied by S. Selva Balaji, Commissioner, Tiruvannamalai Corporation, Collector K. Tharpagaraj on Tuesday inspected Mada Streets around Arunachaleshwara temple as part of preparations for the festival.
