Hyderabad witnessed a second consecutive day of disruption at fuel stations as panic buying of fuel led to long queues at petrol pumps across the city on Tuesday (April 28, 2026), spilling over onto arterial roads and slowing traffic during peak morning hours.

By 7 a.m., serpentine queue of vehicles had formed outside fuel stations in several parts of the city. Traffic police, anticipating a repeat of Monday’s congestion, moved quickly to impose crowd control measures. Barricades and cones were placed at petrol pump entrances, creating controlled two-lane entry points aimed at preventing queues from spilling onto main roads.
