The BJP has “captured” the AIADMK, and the AIADMK has committed the biggest crime against the people of Tamil Nadu by bringing the BJP to the State, Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said here on Monday (April 20, 2026).

Speaking at an election campaign meeting in the presence of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin in the Egmore (SC) constituency, he said, “The NDA is not the AIADMK and the BJP; the NDA is only the BJP. The AIADMK is in the grip of the BJP. See what has been done in Bihar. Nitish Kumar was Bihar’s Chief Minister till yesterday. Today, he has been reduced to a Rajya Sabha Member. Why? This will be done to the AIADMK too. The AIADMK will be broken into three parts, and the BJP will take over [the party]. The BJP wants to capture Tamil Nadu. But the people of Tamil Nadu hate the BJP. The people don’t want the BJP. Tamil Nadu does not want the BJP. The AIADMK has committed the biggest crime against the people of Tamil Nadu by bringing the BJP to the State. So, beware before you vote for them.”
