Kothamangalam continued to be battered by strong winds for the second consecutive day on Monday (April 20, 2026), with uprooted trees disrupting traffic and power supply in several areas. At least two houses were damaged, and farmers reported significant losses.

Trees were uprooted in several areas, including Mayiloor, Pedoor, Oonjappara, Keerampara, Kuttampuzha, Chelad and Pinavoorkudi. No casualties were reported.

In the tribal area of Pinavoorkudi, more than 10 trees were uprooted in the strong winds. At Oonjappara, a house sustained damage after a tree fell on its car porch.
