The Bapatla district administration has set up a district-level safety committee to oversee adventure tourism and ensure the safety of visitors. District Collector V. Vinod Kumar issued orders under the Andhra Pradesh Adventure Tourism Guidelines, 2025. The committee will identify adventure zones, grant no-objection certificates (NOCs), monitor safety standards and act against violations, he said. It will meet once every three months.

The order coincided with the launch of adventure tourism activities at Ramapuram beach in Chirala mandal on Sunday (April 19, 2026). Tourism Minister (In-charge) Kolusu Parthasarathy, along with Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) Chairman Nukasani Balaji, the Collector and Chirala MLA M. Malakondaiah, inaugurated paramotor and jet ski rides under the “Dive Chirala” programme.
