Four cheetahs landed at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, from South Africa on Friday night. These cheetahs will be housed at the Bannerghatta National Park on the outskirts of the city and will be available for public viewing shortly.

Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment Eshwar B. Khandre received the cheetahs at the KIA. He instructed officials to keep a close watch on the health of the cheetahs and ensure they acclimatise well. These cheetahs will be kept in quarantine for 30 days, checked for infections and kept under observation before moving them to the national park.
