Following a similar initiative by the Bengaluru Traffic Police, the Tumakuru District Police have launched a Traffic Warden Team initiative, seeking public participation to help manage rising traffic congestion in Tumakuru city.

According to officials, the move is aimed not only at easing congestion on busy roads but also at strengthening police-public relations and instilling a sense of traffic discipline and road safety among citizens. This will also ease the workload of police personnel on the ground.
