The Kodagu police have seized and penalised tipper trucks spilling crushed stones, also known as jelly stones in local parlance, onto the road and endangering other motorists.

The action by the Kushalnagar Traffic police came after the police received complaints regarding the trucks loaded with crushed stones failing to take precautionary measures against the spilling of jelly stones onto the road, leading to mishaps involving two wheelers and other vehicles.
