Allahabad High Court Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav retired on Wednesday (April 15, 2026), amid a pending motion seeking his removal in Parliament, in relation to a controversial speech made in 2024.

With his retirement, all pending motions against him will be nullified as such motions are only applicable in the case of sitting judges.
