SR University (SRU), Warangal, has secured accreditation from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) for its School of Agriculture and B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture programme, becoming the first private university in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to achieve accreditation at both the school and programme levels.

The accreditation is valid for five years from March 16, 2026, chancellor A. Varada Reddy said. He noted that degrees from ICAR-accredited institutions are recognised in India and abroad, enabling students to pursue higher education, government jobs and ICAR fellowships.
