CPI Tamil Nadu secretary M. Veerapandian, who has been touring the State and addressing small meetings instead of holding mega rallies, feels the ruling DMK is heading towards a massive victory, surpassing even the predictions of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. Dismissing the argument that the contest is close on the ground, he said the votes polled by actor C. Joseph Vijay’s TVK would only help the DMK-led alliance. “While he is drawing crowds, he lacks the organisational strength to convert them into votes,” he said, in a telephonic interview to The Hindu.
