Leaders of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) on Sunday demanded that the recent amendments made to Private Universities Act–2016 be withdrawn immediately.
In a statement, the federation’s State president, P. Rammohan, and secretary, K. Prasanna Kumar, said the government-run universities have been deliberately weakened since the introduction of private universities in the State.
