Three boys drowned while swimming in Matsyagedda at Pedabayalu mandal in Alluri Sitharama Raju (ASR) district on Sunday (April 12, 2026), police said.

The deceased were identified as Arshit, 11, and Koda Praveen, 10, from G.K. Veedhi, and Pangi Bablu, 10, from Panneda in Pedabayalu mandal. All three were studying at the upper primary level in the Government Tribal Welfare Boys Residential School at Panneda in Pedabayalu.
