Bhogapuram Airport will act as a growth engine for Vizianagaram district, says Collector

District Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy on Saturday (April 11, 2026) said that the international airport being constructed at Bhogapuram would spur economic activity and serve as a growth engine for the further development of the district. He said that the government has identified several areas in different places of the district to create land banks for the establishment of IT parks, service sector units, and other industries.

Speaking to The Hindu here, he said that the government is planning to provide dedicated road connectivity from Vizianagaram to Bhogapuram, hoping that the route would attract more investments.
