Uncertainty looms over the future of the workers at the small can-filling plant of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) at Tadepalli, following reports that the facility may be relocated to Chennai, leaving hundreds of families anxious about their livelihoods.

For many workers, the news of relocation has come as a shock, particularly those who have spent decades working at the unit in outsourced roles.
