PMK president Anbumani Ramadoss said on Thursday that the ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu has not fulfilled its poll promise given during 2021 Assembly election to ensure social justice by implementing 10.5 per cent internal reservation for Vanniyars in the State.

Campaigning in Polur, he said AIADMK general secretary and then Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami took steps to implement 10.5 per cent of internal reservation before 2021 polls. “After assuming power in 2021, the DMK government halted the process to implement the internal reservations. Since then, PMK has been demanding to execute it, but the DMK has been quiet on the issue. The party should be sent home after the 2026 polls,” he said.
