The bypolls to Bagalkot and Davanagere South Assembly constituencies in Karnataka on April 9 was conducted smoothly for the most part. The exception being two booths in Bagalkot Assembly constituency, which witnessed a delay for a few minutes.

In booth number 322, Hanumanth Rao Joshi complained that someone else had cast his vote. Polling officials found out that when his son had arrived to cast his vote, one officer had mistakenly put a check mark before his name. Once this was confirmed, the senior citizen was allowed to vote.
