The Confederation of University Employees’ Organnisations (CUEO), Kerala, has demanded steps to remove senior IAS officer B. Ashok from the post of Vice-Chancellor of Kerala Agricultural University.
In a statement, CUEO general secretary Harilal accused Dr. Ashok of repeatedly violating service rules and the Model Code of Conduct by “continuously demeaning the State government in various media and by openly engaging in political propaganda”.
The confederation claimed that the officer’s writings and media interactions, which purportedly demean the dignity of the Vice-Chancellor’s office, are an embarrassment to the higher education sector. The organisation called for immediate disciplinary action against him for purported misuse of his position.
