Bank staff must act swiftly to prevent cyber fraud, says Hyderabad Police Commissioner

The Hyderabad Police urged bank employees to play a pro-active role in preventing cyber fraud, stressing that they are crucial in safeguarding the finances of people.

Taking to X, Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar said bankers, as custodians of public funds, must remain vigilant and immediately alert customers if they notice signs of potential fraud. He noted that victims of scams such as “digital arrests” or fraudulent investment schemes often act in panic, withdrawing deposits or taking loans against gold assets.
