Temperatures cross 41°C in 18 Telangana districts on March 29; Jagtial’s Korutla records 41.9°C

Heat conditions are intensifying in Telangana as majority of the State records over 40°C

With mercury soaring across Telangana over the past few days, as many as 30 out of the State’s 33 districts recorded maximum temperatures crossing 40°C on Sunday (March 29, 2026), indicating a sharp intensification of heat conditions. Of these, 18 districts reported temperatures above 41°C.

According to the daily weather report released by the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), Korutla in Jagtial district recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41.9°C. This was followed by 41.6°C in Dummugudem (Bhadradri Kothagudem), Kasipet (Mancherial), Peddavura (Nalgonda) and Bheemgal (Nizamabad). Temperatures of 41.5°C were recorded in Bela (Adilabad), Asifabad (Kumaram Bheem Asifabad) and Sultanabad (Peddapalli).

Further, Charakonda (Nagarkurnool) and Maganoor (Narayanpet) recorded 41.4°C, while Konijerla (Khammam), Venkatapuram (Mulugu) and Bhainsa (Nirmal) recorded 41.3°C. Inavole (Hanumakonda) recorded 41.2°C, while Ghanpur (Jayashankar Bhupalpally), Seerole (Mahabubabad) and Nagaram (Suryapet) recorded 41.1°C. Bantwaram (Vikarabad) recorded 41°C.

Another 12 districts recorded temperatures ranging between 40°C and 41°C. The only three districts that recorded temperatures below 40°C were Keesara (Medchal Malkajgiri) and Bibinagar (Yadadri Bhuvangiri), both at 39.9°C, and Himayatnagar in Hyderabad at 39°C.
