In yet another stray dog attack, a four-year-old boy lost his eye in Bhuvanagiri town of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district prompting wide spread condemnation of the municipal officials lethargy in controlling the dog menace.

The boy was playing outside his home when the dog attacked him. He was shifted to Hyderabad for treatment and is said to be out of danger. His other eye is unaffected but he might lose the injured eye.

Meanwhile, local residents protested against the municipal corporation’s lethargy in curbing the stray dog menace forcing the officials to visit the place and assure that the government would provide medical treatment.

Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, who is attending the Lok Sabha, spoke to the parents of the injured boy and assured them that the best medical treatment would be provided to the boy. He also asked the District Collector and other officials to take steps to prevent such incidents.
