FC Barcelona Academy is set to make its debut in Kerala with a three-day training camp in Kochi in May.
The camp will be held at the Maharaja’s College ground from May 7 to 9. This will mark the launch of the internationally recognised football club in Kerala through its official football academy – Barça Academy India. The camp will allow participants to learn from and interact with Barça Academy technical director and coaches who will fly in from Barcelona to Kochi for the camp.
The camp will be open to boys and girls between the age of five and 18, and it will be held in three batches. This camp will initiate the process of setting up full-time Barca Academies in Ernakulam. Barça Academy India will select a few standout players from the Kochi and Kerala camps for participation in Barça Academy tournaments in Barcelona, Spain, as well as other international locations within the Barça Academy global network.
Barça Academy is the official academy of FC Barcelona with its own ecosystem, facilities, and assets. The academy is aimed at boys and girls from six to 18 years old, following and replicating the game model established in FC Barcelona coaching teams; the ‘Barça style’.
