The BJP organised a blood donation camp near Gowri Gopal Hospital here on Wednesday as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday celebrations.

Senior leader and former Rajya Sabha member T.G. Venkatesh, who was the chief guest at the programme lauded the leadership of Mr. Narendra Modi. India has achieved tremendous growth under Modi’s leadership and is emerging as the fourth largest economy in the world, he said.

“India has become self-reliant now and is no more dependent on other countries. While the entire world was devastated by COVID-19 pandemic, India under Modi’s leadership developed a vaccine and even supplied it to other countries,” he said. He wished Mr. Narendra Modi a long life and hoped that he would continue to serve the country for more years.

On the occasion, Mr. Venkatesh also released a book — ‘Ananta Padma Kusumalu’ — penned by Kotte Chennaiah on the life of the Padma awardees. BJYM State president Sunil Kumar Reddy and others were also present.
