Economist Arvind Subramanian paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in the Assembly today.

During the meeting, the economist gave valuable suggestions to the CM to strengthen the State’s financial condition. Mr. Subramanian emphasized that the State should move forward in a planned and strategic manner to bolster the State’s finances.

The CM and Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka briefed Mr. Subramanian about the reforms introduced in the power sector, Stamps and Registrations and GST-related matters. The expenditure incurred in the Energy sector, revenue generation from the Registration department and tax estimations under the GST were discussed in detail in the meeting.

Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao and other senior officials were also present.
