The Kerala High Court has directed to discontinue the ongoing agitation by a section of nurses working in private hospitals in the State under the banner of the United Nurses Association (UNA) till Tuesday (March 17, 2026), when talks are expected to be held at the court’s mediation centre.

Stating that any continuing difference of opinion between the nurses and private hospital managements would affect the people seeking treatment and other members of the public, the court on Friday said that it would be ideal if both sides choose mediation. A mediator would be allotted from the court’s mediation centre to help bring about a settlement, it added.
