Senior advocate and BJP leader Kothapalli Ajay Kumar of Tirupati has been nominated as a member of the ‘Institutional Ethics Committee’ of Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) for a period of two years. SVIMS Dean Dr. Alok Sachan has formally issued an order to this effect.

Mr. Ajay Kumar is currently serving as standing counsel for the central government and as a counsel for National Sanskrit University (NSU), and had served as a counsel for Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

As part of his new task, he will review the university’s medical research proposals by studying the ethical provisions laid down by the Indian government and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
