AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami, accompanied by his party colleagues, called on Union Minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah in New Delhi on Tuesday.

The meeting took place a week after Mr. Shah and his Cabinet colleague Nirmala Sitharaman were reported to have discussed issues concerning the AIADMK with Gobichettipalayam MLA and former School Education Minister K.A. Sengottaiyan.

Tuesday’s meeting was said to have lasted around 30 minutes. Mr. Palaniswami may meet the press on Wednesday.

Earlier, the AIADMK leader and his colleagues called on Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan for the first time since he was elected to the post.
