Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to closely review the situation arising out of the war in West Asia and take appropriate steps to minimise its impact on Andhra Pradesh.

At a review meeting held at the Real Time Governance Society(RTGS) on Tuesday, Mr. Naidu said the conflict involving Iran could affect the supply and prices of LPG, eggs, bananas and other commodities. He asked officials to assess the possible impact and prepare contingency plans.

The Chief Minister also instructed officials to identify Telugu people currently residing in West Asian countries and coordinate with the Ministry of External Affairs to ensure their safety. He directed that a team comprising officials from the RTGS and senior officers be constituted to continuously monitor the situation and submit assessments.

Reviewing other sectors, Mr. Naidu asked officials to focus on providing quality mid day meals and maintaining clean classrooms in schools and colleges across the State.

He also said the government would organise a mass housewarming ceremony for 2.50 lakh beneficiaries of the government housing scheme on Ugadi. Officials were instructed to make arrangements for local elected representatives to hand over the official documents to the beneficiaries.

Further, Mr. Naidu directed officials to expedite the grounding of projects for which agreements were signed during the recent AI Impact India Summit held in Delhi.
