The Tirupati airport has taken up a special feedback drive to identify the gaps in services, in order to bridge them and extend better services in future. As part of ‘Yatri Sewa Diwas’ observed by Airports Authority of India (AAI) on September 17, the Tirupati airport authorities plan passenger outreach activities such as welcoming the passengers with a ‘tika’ and conducting folk dance performance by students of Sri Venkateswara College of Music and Dance, reflecting the local culture of Andhra Pradesh, as a form of welcoming the passengers.

Airport Director D. Boominathan told the media here on Tuesday (September 16, 2025) that a blood donation camp would be organised in coordination with Rotary Club and a free health check-up for passengers to screen blood pressure, sugar and CBP levels. “In addition, free eye check up camp for auto/taxi drivers is also being organised at the airport”, he added.

A tree plantation drive will be conducted by involving senior citizens, passengers and dignitaries of the district, while photo booths/selfie points would also be readied for the passengers to post their feedback on social media.

For travelling children, quiz and painting competitions would be conducted. The AAI has invited school children for airport familiarisation and also to provide them career guidance programmes in the aviation industry.

Mr. Boominathan said that the special feedback drive is meant to obtain true reflection of the airport from the passengers’ perspective, which can be posted on social media on AAI’s links such as X/Twitter (@aaiofficial), Instagram (@aaiofficial), facebook (@airportsauthorityofindiaofficial). Also, the Tirupati airport can be tagged at X/Twitter (@aaitirairport), Instagram (@aaitirupati) and facebook (@aaitirairport).
