ICC Men’s T20 World Cup: Stalin, Palaniswami hail India’s victory over New Zealand

A “flamboyant triumph”, was how Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin described Team India winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup on Sunday night.

In a social media post, Mr. Stalin said: “Congratulations to #TeamIndia on a flamboyant triumph in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. It was exhilarating to watch Chettan @IamSanjuSamson bat with such authority and composure in the last three matches, delivering when it mattered the most.”

Mr. Stalin extended his best wishes to all the players whose “consistent performances throughout the tournament powered India to a commanding victory and the proud moment of lifting the #T20WorldCup for the 3rd time.”

AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami congratulated Team India on a “majestic victory” over New Zealand in the final of the ICC T20 World Cup, “reclaiming the crown and once again standing tall as world champions.”

“A triumph built on composure, skill, and collective belief-. #India delivered when it mattered the most on the biggest stage. Special appreciation to @IamSanjuSamson for a scintillating performance with the bat, a knock marked by authority, timing, and fearless stroke play,” Mr. Palaniswami said in a social media post.

Mr. Palaniswami also said cricketer Jasprit Bumrah was “equally exceptional, producing a breathtaking spell with the ball that shifted momentum decisively and showcased why he remains one of the finest bowlers in world cricket. proud moment for Indian cricket and millions of fans across the nation!”
