Karnataka Budget 2026-27 LIVE updates: CM Siddaramaiah to present his 17th Budget

Projects proposed for Bengaluru in 2025-26 Budget see significant progress, yet on-ground work lags

The Karnataka government allocated funds or agreed to stand guarantor for raising loans for 13 urban development projects in the 2025-26 State Budget, including the Bengaluru Business Corridor (BBC), North-South Tunnel Road project, and building new roads in the buffer zones of drains, all of which have made significant progress, though none have begun work on the ground.

The biggest positives have been the progress in the Bengaluru Business Corridor (BBC), earlier called the Peripheral Ring Road (PRR), which had been stuck for over 18 years; and the advertisement bylaws.
