Rapid advancements in technology are opening new doors in every industry, empowering the next generation of engineers to create impactful, society-focused solutions, said D. Ravi Teja, head of Incubation, Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH), Vijayawada, on Thursday (March 5, 2026).

Addressing students participating in “Avishkar-2K26”, a two-day hackathon organised jointly by the Research and Development Cell of Seshadri Rao Gudlavalleru Engineering College and SRGEC Tech Doc Innovation and Incubation Cell, Mr. Ravi Teja said that young engineers, with their creative ideas should work to provide solutions that are beneficial to society.

Referring to the hackathon, he said ideas generated through such competitions had great potential to develop into start-ups.

Convenor of the event G.V.N.R.V. Prasad said that 487 students drawn from colleges across the State and divided in 126 teams had registered for the two-day event.

Principal B. Karuna Kumar urged the students to make the best of the opportunities that come their way during their years on the campus.
