Former top maoist leaders who recently surrendered before Telangana Police, would meet with Chief Minister and Home Minister A. Revanth Reddy at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat in Hyderabad on Friday (February 27, 2026).

Tippiri Thirupati alias Devuji alias Kumma Dada, former central committee member of CPI (Maoist), former CCM Malla Raji Reddy alias Sangram, former secretary of Telangana State Committee Bade Chokka Rao and former State Committee member, Nune Narsimha Reddy alias Ganganna were among those who would meet the Chief Minister. They reached the Secretariat late in the afternoon.

The surrendered leaders made it clear that their political agenda is not watered down, and that their meeting with the Chief Minister also revolves around it. Whether they would plunge into politics by starting a new political party remains to be seen. Interestingly, several surrendered Maoists in Telangana earlier sailed with one or the other political parties or launched their own outfits to take active part in politics.
